Updated Trends: US Hiker Sarah Shourd Freed In Iran, As Per Lawyers
The American hiker named Sarah Shourd, who is one of the three hikers who were arrested by Iran, have been freed from the Iran prison, her lawyer has stated. Her lawyer Masoud Shafie, has stated that she has been working with Sarah from within the prison, and she has said that she has been freed from the prison and is en-route to the Swiss embassy.
It was in July 2009 when Shourd and her two companions, Hane Bauer and Joshua Fattal, were arrested on the Iran-Iraq border. Their families have stated that three people were on a mountain hike in the northern Iran area, and after the arrest, Iran has stated that these three people have been spying in Iran, which they had denied of doing.
ABC new has stated that Sarah has been released from the Iran prison, and even an English run news channel of Iran has reported that Sarah has been freed from the Iran prison recently.
