Updated Trends: Suicide Attack In Russian City Of Vladikavkaz Kills 15
A suicide car bomber detonated himself in the crowed market area of the Russian city of Vladikavkaz, which has killed 15 people and injured some 130. The attack has been the worst of the attacks that have taken place in this region of Russian in years. The attack took place when the suicide bomber drove through the entrance of the Vladikavkaz main market and then detonated himself.
Alexander Pogorely of the Emergency Situations Ministry stated that this is one of the worst attacks that have taken place in south Russia. 133 people have been injured and some 87 of them have been admitted in the hospital. Russian news Television showed the shrapnels used during the blasts in the vehicle and on the streets, where blood and debris was scattered.
President Medvedev has sent hist envoy to the city, to help the people who have been injured and to take of the situation there. For the moment no terrorist organization or group has taken the responsibility of the attack.
