Apple iMac Pro is coming this December – Here’s everything you need to know!

Since 1984, Apple has been producing gadgets that are nothing less of a benchmark for other players of the tech industry. On Monday, June 5, the tech giant reinstated its leading position by upgrading its Mac range of desktops.

The new iMac Pro was released with more powerful processing, greater bandwidth connectivity and innovative storage capabilities to provide a better desktop experience. On the renewed iMacs the SSD storage is expected to be 50 per cent faster. The updated devices feature Kaby Lake processors up to 4.2GHz, Turbo Boost up to 4.5GHz and a memory size twice that of the previous iMac versions.

Both the 27-inch and 21.5-inch high-end desktops have Fusion Drive in their configuration. Another feature that has seen the new iMac setting the gold standard is its port quality – Thunderbolt 3, today’s most powerful and adaptable port.

When it comes to graphics, the iMac Pro comes with Radeon Pro 500-series cards with up to 8GB of vRAM. Consequently, the graphics are three times more powerful than the older version.

The Retina display used on iMac Pro is the brightest and most colorful display an iMac has ever seen. The 500-nit brightness display supporting one billion colors provides an incredibly immersive experience; it’s like you are really taken in and kept there.

With the new storage and processor capabilities, there’s merely nothing you cannot do with the new iMac. Other devices in the Mac range, including iMac Pro, MacBook, and MacBook Pro also received major property boosts. John Ternus, Vice President of Hardware Engineering at Apple said during the announcement that with these updates, the Mac is “stronger than ever”. From Wednesday, June 7, the updated iMac will be available for purchase on apple.com.
