Updated Trends: Manila Bus Hostage Crisis: Two Britons Survive The Horror
The bus hostage crisis in Manila is over, but in the bus were two Britons who have miraculously survived the horror. It was reported that eight tourist had been shot by the gunman who had hijacked the bus. For the two Britons surviving that moment was nothing less than an act of God.
The Philippines government has stated that it will holding a strong investigation into the incident. The gunman Rolando Mendoza was killed inside the bus when the police force stormed in. Survivors and experts have criticized the Manila Police stating that they were very slow in their approach.
Main questions that have been raised for the moment is how were the Philippines police taking so long to take out a 55 year old ex police officer who had hijacked the bus. Mendoza worked in the police force for more than 30 years and had good experience in combat. Along with the Britons, there were 22 Hong Kong tourists on the bus.
