The Billboard Music Awards (BBMA) 2016 took place in Las Vegas and featured the top artists in the music industry and some of the most memorable performances. Artists like Kesha and Celine Dion brought with them such huge personal fights that not a single eye was left dry when they graced the stage. There were also mind-blowing performances by the likes of Britney Spears and Pink, and a whole lot of fashion forward personas for the evening. The Hostess for the evening wore an extremely revealing shimmery dress which put her toned body on display. But her biggest asset was her huge diamond engagement ring given to her by fiance, Russell Wilson. She co-hosted the award ceremony with Ludacris.
She has been in the news recently for her bitter court battle with Dr. Luke, attended and performed as well, garbed in a purple pantsuit and shaggy blonde bob. The crowd cheered for her the most and she received the longest standing ovation for the evening.
Zendaya was another hot star on display at the BBMAs, wearing a two-piece skin colored outfit that showed off her insanely toned abs. During the awards show she wore her glasses on, probably because her seat was too far away from the main stage and she didn’t want to miss out on the grand performances.
Ariana looked beautiful in a blue and blank flowing gown along with her signature bushy ponytail, but she didn’t seem to be managing her attire well, as she took a stumble while being interviewed. Of course, the Internet had a good laugh.
Another star in attendance was Abel from The Weeknd and he took home the most number of awards for the night. However, when it came to fashion, he was failing. His extremely casual look included sneakers and matching pants and jacket. He looked more like he was going for a run than attending one of the biggest award nights in music.
The queen of the evening! In fact, she performed for over 8 minutes, doing a medley of all her past hits. For the red carpet she donned a black lace short dress, thigh high lace boots and a flowing black train that had to be handled carefully. Throughout the evening she changed multiple times and looked fabulous every single time.
Another great artist who knows how to dress like a star is none other than Bad Gal Rihanna. At first she walked in what looked like a big jacket and bejeweled shoes, but later changed into a flowing black and emerald gown while performing Love On The Brain. Her performance was outstanding and so was her fashion sense for the evening.
New mother came with husband Ashton Kutcher and slayed the red carpet in a short strapless silver number. Though she looked as radiant as ever, husband Ashton was in casuals and resembled a hiker rather than a hunk of Hollywood.
was another beauty in a white strappy piece. The 40 year old actress was posh and sophisticated and looked beautiful as she walked the red carpet.
The woman who was the belle of the ball and brought everyone to tears is the original nightingale, . She performed The Show Must Go On in memory of her husband and later accepted the Icon Award for her undeniable contribution to the industry. She was presented the award by her eldest son and couldn’t hold back tears, and made the everyone else cry with her.
