The youngest member of the Kardashian-Jenner clan, Kylie has been known for her gigantic lips as being her most valued feature yet. While rumors had started doing the rounds that she had injected her lips, the 18-year-old had said that they were temporary fillers she gets on a regular basis from a trusted plastic surgeon, well known to many A-list Hollywood celebrities. This had led to the creation of lip plumping machines that allowed the user to get the perfect pucker.

Taking full advantage of the situation, the young reality star announced the release of the Kylie Jenner Lip Kit. While it sounds like it’s a complete set of lip products that help get that thick smirk that Kylie herself is famous for, it’s basically lip glosses that so many stars, including the likes of Kat Von D and Jeffree Starr have been selling since years now. However, since it has the name of the reality star on it, the internet went crazy at the announcement and the lip kits were sold out within MINUTES of their release on the official Kylie Jenner Cosmetics website.

So, what were the reviews coming from the suckers who bought those kits? There were many good reviews, of course, since the colors were so spot on, they blended well with any skin tone. In typical Kylie style, the shades are named as: “King K”, “Heir” and “Reign” under her Metal shades, while “Like” “Literally” and “So Cute” summed up the Gloss range, and buying the whole set together went as “Like Literally So Cute” (how typical!)

However, soon there were scathing reviews, especially for the application brushes that were splotchy and the bristles came apart and spread after the first use itself. Kylie was called out by Jeffree Starr for not being strict with “quality control” and said things like a multi-million dollar star should never compromise on quality when selling products that will earn her several millions more.

However, it looks like the Kylie Jenner Lip Kit still remains a hit for fashion forward makeup junkies who believe that fake thick lips are the most “in” thing right now.
