Updated Trends: Bharat Bandth – India To Witness A Nationwide Bandh Today
The BJP and the Left parties have forced India on a nationwide strike , which is in protest against the ongoing price rise on various products.
Inflation in India is not at all showiing any promising hopes, as India has broken the past fuel price records.The opposition parties are asking questions on behalf of the common man, and thats the reason they have come out on streets.
BJP on the other hand is demanding to rethink and rollback the prices on fuels, which had been hiked last week.
The scenario in Mumbai has gone upside down today, as most of the schools and colleges have been closed, and domestic flight schedules have been strongly disrupted due to the bandh.
Local trains are on time, but there are no passegers today to commute. In New Delhi, the metro has been stopped by the BJP, they have blocked the metros at Karol Bagh and Rajiv Gandhi Metro stations. Meanwhile the flights from the Indira Gandhi airport are running on time, no flights have been cancelled or delayed.
Kolkata on the other hand has a box full of bad news, as the private airlines wont be operating from Kolkata at all, so the passegers who were suppose to travel by flight today are hit hard due to the bandh.
There are strong demostrations taking place at almost 16 stations in and around Kolkata, and the eastern railway has decided to suspend all its long distance and subarban trains for today. Together to sum it all up, India has strongly responded towards the bandh, this is for the betterment of the common man, but the question today is, what about the problems the common man is facing today due to this bandh.
