A number of people follow a few physical habits to remain healthy. But a number of people also have the wrong habits that could affect the mental health. Apart from the physical health, it is also important to take care of your mental health as before you know, it might start falling apart. To make this more clear, here are a few habits which could be termed as unhealthy for your mental health.

1. Too much of social media – The social media is actually a toxic place, where you are going to mostly find fakeness. All that glitters is not gold, which means that if a person is posting a picture with an expensive car, that might mean that the person owns it. Such fakeness could be toxic to the other person and send them in to depression.

2. Denial of your mental health – This is the most dangerous thing when you completely deny the fact that you suffer from a mental illness. Accepting what is happening with you and getting help from a professional would be the wise thing to do.

3. Negativity – There are a number of people who cannot stop thinking negatively. They are constantly worried about the results or how they look or how other people look at them. Having a positive mindset can do wonders.

4. Feeling guilty – The feelings of guilt, shame and regret are toxic for the mind and can affect you mentally. You need to address these emotions and get over them or find a solution that would make you feel better. Seeking professional help is wise.

5. Lack of physical activity – When the body is active, the body releases endorphins which are also known as the happy hormones. They help to stimulate energy and makes you feel better about yourself. Being on the couch the whole day and doing nothing could make your mental condition worse. Force yourself for at least one physical activity in the day.
