A puffy face or face puffiness is surely an unpleasant thing that you don’t want to see especially when you need to show up in the office or need to attend a virtual meeting immediately. A puffy face is caused due to stress, water retention or sometimes due to allergies. Under such conditions it is important to have a proper lymphatic drainage. It might take some time to bring your face back to normal, but if you are in a hurry then there are a few home remedies that can be done to make your face a little presentable at least.
1.Ice cube rub – This is one of the easiest and the quickest ways to get rid of the puffy face soon after you wake up. You just need to grab an ice cube from your freezer and start rubbing it directly on the face. Also rub through the eyelids. Another alternative is by dunking your face directly in to a bowl filled with ice cold water.
2. Face massage – After you take a shower, you can grab a jade roller, which is a trending gadget these days. Gentle strokes on the face with the roller can help with lymphatic drainage and increases the blood circulation. This can take about ten minutes and can be done while you are sipping on your morning coffee. If you don’t have a jade roller, then you can just grab a face massage cream or any moisturizer and allow your fingers to massage your face.
3. Exercise – Working out in the morning is a great way to get rid of the puffiness. If you are lazy for a workout, then even a running session on the treadmill for just ten minutes does the trick. Alternatively, you can also do jumping jacks, burpees or sit ups to get your heart racing and you will instantly see the difference on the face.
