Barbadian singer and businesswoman Rihanna has become the richest female musician in the world with a fortune which is considerably larger than those of the other big names in the pop industry including Celine Dion, Beyonce and Madonna. The real name of the 31 year old is Robyn Rihanna Fenty and is worth a staggering $600 million. The figures mentioned by Forbes has mentioned that she has gone beyond those of Dion with $150 million, Beyonce with $200 million and Madonna by $30 million.

Rihanna is best known for some of her hits like Diamonds, Umbrella and Whats My Name, but her music is not just the source of her wealth. Forbes said that the majority of her income comes from her partnership with LVMH which is the French luxury goods company that owns the likes of Christian Dior, Givenchy and Louis Vuitton. In May, 2019, the singer launched her fashion label known as Fenty at a pop-up boutique in Paris and became the first black woman to create an original brand with LVMH.

Fenty has become the latest business ventures by Rihanna and has joined her lingerie label Savage X Fenty that she had launched in 2018 along with her cosmetic brand Fenty Beauty that was set up in 2017. The cosmetic firm had managed to generate an estimated $570 million in revenue in its first 15 months. The business magazine Forbes further said that the operation is worth more than $3 billion.

LVMH owns about half of it and the business magazine has estimated that Rihanna’s stake is around 15 percent but this could not be confirmed. The clothing collection has become her first venture in to the luxury fashion market but she has already created collections for British fashion retailer River Island and was made the creative director of Puma in 2014. The singer’s other ventures are equally celebrated for her inclusivity.
