For those of you who weren’t around when the trial took place, here’s what it was all about;
Officially the People of the State of California v. Orenthal James Simpson, former National Football League (NFL) star and actor O. J. Simpson was tried for the murders of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown-Simpson and a friend of hers, a restaurant waiter, Ron Goldman.
This case was one of the most publicized criminal trial in American history and spanned 11 months, from November 9, 1994 to October 3, 1995. The televised trial ended with acquittal of NFL star and actor O. J. Simpson. Simpson hired a high-profile defense team, also referred to as the “Dream Team”, which consisted of top-notche criminal lawyers, two attorneys specializing in DNA evidence and PR professionals to manage the star’s image though the entire trial.
The case has been brought to the limelight once again with American Crime Story: The People v. O J Simpson, that revisits the dramatic happenings after the murders, the case, the trial and ultimately the acquittal of the prime accused.
