With the hot summer months creeping up on us, it’s time to start thinking of great ideas for entertaining outdoors. Whether it’s a patio party or a barbecue, everybody loves a cool and colorful cocktail.

Here are 5 of the best summer cocktail recipes:

1. Raspberry Casino

-1 part Raspberry flavored vodka

-2 parts Vanilla flavored vodka

-fresh raspberries

-Sprite or ginger ale


Pour the flavored vodka and crushed ice into a tall glass, followed by the Sprite or Ginger Ale. Top it off with the raspberries for decoration. You can also add some mint leaves or slices of lemons.

2. Strawberry Basil Vodka Cocktail

-5 fresh strawberries

-1 lime

-2 shots of Mango flavored absolute vodka

-1 shot of gomme syrup

-8 fresh bail leaves

-Ice cubes

-club soda

Dice up the strawberries and throw them into a large glass along with the juice from the lime, the basil leaves, and the mango vodka. Let this mix sit and steep for a while before adding the ice, the soda, and some mint leaves for decoration.

3. Highland Samba

-Ginger Ale

-Key lime juice

-Ice cubes

This one’s super easy: pour in two parts of Ballantine’s Brasil into a large glass,then add the ice and the ginger ale. Later add the key lime juice to taste.

4. White Sangria

-White wine

-Peach flavored iced tea

In a jar, pour in 4 parts of Ballantine’s Brasil whiskey, one part key lime juice, and one part gomme syrup. Later add one part white wine (Sauvignon Blanc is the best) and then fill up the rest of the jar with three parts peach iced tea and two parts lemonade. Finish it off by adding some slices of peach, apple, and other fruits of your choosing.

5. Barcelo’s Kiss

– 50 cc of Ron Barcelo Gran Platinium

– 40 cc pomegranate juice

– 20 cc gomme syrup

– 15 cc freshly squeezed lime juice

– Watermelon slices

– Frappe ice

Add the watermelon slices first and mash them up. Next add the frappe ice, then the pomegranate juice, followed by the lime juice, the gomme syrup, and then finally the Barcelo rum. Stir it all up thoroughly. If you have some rose petals on hand for decoration, the color combination really works well.
