This Easter brunch recipe is simple to prepare and gives you an elegant meal. To save time, you should put it together the night before and prepare it quickly to make a perfect brunch. It is quite a delicacy and can be served with extra maple syrup.
• An eight-ounce package of diced cream cheese
• One pound of cubed loaf cinnamon raisin bread
• A quarter cup of maple syrup
• Eight eggs
• Six tablespoons of melted butter
• A cup of diced peeled apples
• Two and a half cups of half-and-half cream
Coat your baking dish with cooking spray and arrange half of your cubed raisin bread at the bottom of the dish. Sprinkle an even layer of cream cheese on the bread and top them with your diced apples. You can add raisins if there is space left in your dish and also top them with the remaining apples. Beat the eggs in a large bowl and mix them with butter, cream, and maple syrup. After mixing thoroughly, pour your egg mixture on your bread and cover the baking dish with a plastic wrap.
Press down all this mixture to ensure that all bread pieces are soaked in the egg mixture and put it in a fridge for around two hours. Preheat your oven to 164 degrees Celsius and bake your frozen dough for around 40 to 45 minutes. Let it stand for ten minutes before serving.
