Though there were a lot of people who took jibes at this series because of the movies and the pale-faced caste, there is no denying that teenage and adult hearts alike fluttered when taken into the dank, dark world of vampires and their epic drama with werewolves. A simple girl entrapped in the charms of an immortal boy and torn by the love from her wolfish best friend, fantasy was taken to a whole new level. The Twilight series was about a modern day love story that had the effects of a Shakespearean era.
