Updated Trends: Maharashtra Government Looks Forward To Use SEZ As Wind Energy Farms
The Maharashtra government has been planning that it would be creating SEZ’s or Special Economic Zones to be used as Wind Energy projects for the state. This would encourage Wind Energy producers to set up power plants in these areas.
Minister of New and Renewable Energy, Ganesh Naik, stated that this would be a single window system to promote the project, and is also working on attractive packages that would pull client in to building power plants in the zone. The Minister also added in saying that it would attract many players from this industry to set up projects in these zones, and this would also be the first step of entering into Future Energy.
The main concept of creating such an idea, was to provide affordable power to the farmers in Maharashtra. Mr. Naik is also looking forward in solar energy projects, as these are comparatively more efficient and cheap, it would also provide energy to the farmers on a free basis.
