Updated Trends: Gabe Watson ‘Honeymoon Killer’ Will Be Deported To The US
Gabe Watson aka ‘Honeymoon Killer’, is reported to be deported to the US, from Australia after he spent some 18 months in jail. He will now be deported to the US, where the officials have promised that he will not be awarded with the death penalty. Gabe is convicted of killing his wife, Christina Watson during their honeymoon in the Great Barrier Reef waters.
Christina and Gabe were in Australia on their honeymoon, and just after 10 days of their marriage, he allegedly killed her. He was charged for man slaughter and has spent 18 months in the Australian prison.
After he was found guilty of murder, he was not immediately handed over to the American authorities, but rather was taken to the Australian immigration detention center, where he was assured that he will not be awarded a death penalty for his guilt. As per the Australian government, they do not deport any person who is liable for capital punishment.
