Updated Trends: Microsoft Windows Phone 7 Sales Falls Below Expectation, Microsoft Keeps Mum

The Microsoft Windows Phone 7 sales has fallen below the expectation of what was predicted by the experts, and in context to this, Microsoft officials have evidently kept mum. They have not spoken much on the sales of the latest mobile OS, as prior to the launch, the company had claimed that this operating system would be one of the best in the market and had also expected that the sales of this product would be outstanding.

But as of today, the sales of this OS has amounted to be less than what it was expected to be and this is something that they need to worry about. At the annual company meeting in Bellevue, Wash., the officials did not speak about the Windows Phone 7, but rather spoke about the future success of the Kinect.

The Xbox 360 Kinect module has created a record sales of over one million units in just ten days of its launch. The CEO of Microsoft Steve Ballmer stated “is much more than just the future of entertainment, it is an example of new innovations that are enabling people to interact with technology and each other in entirely different ways.” On the other hand, he did not speak much about the sales performance of the Windows Phone 7, but only said that they are indeed having a great start.
