A man from Tennessee has claimed that he spent hours to find something else to eat after the fried chicken fast food chain Popeyes ran out of its popular crispy sandwich this week. The customer is now suing the fast food chain for wasting his time. In the lawsuit, the man is seeking $5,000 in damages and has alleged that Popeyes engaged in false advertising and deceptive business practices by entity to public.

Craig Barr, the man who filed the summons while talking to a leading daily said, “I can’t get happy; I have this sandwich on my mind. I can’t think straight. It just consumes you.” Barr added that he answered a blacklist Craigslist ad from a friend of a man, who claimed to be a Popeyes worker and said that he is selling chicken sandwiches out of the back of the restaurant for $24. Barr added that the man took his money but he never returned with the sandwich.

The complainant said, “Countless time wasted driving to and from Popeyes. No chicken sandwich. Was told to come back this day—still no sandwich”. Barr added that he filed the lawsuit to stand up to big corporate and has been assigned a court date at the end of October.

The fast food restaurant has been has been operational since 1972 and has its headquarters in Miami, Florida.
