Republican Senator Ted Cruz likes porn on twitter; porn video finds lot more viewers

The Twitter account of a nominee for US presidency is supposed to say, like and follow a lot of things but porn is the least likely of them all, especially as their account is followed by many and then their worldwide reputation and what the world thinks about them depends on what they choose to post, like, share, comment on or who they follow. The Conservative Republican Senator of Texas who was also a presidential candidate in last year’s elections, Ted Cruz reportedly liked a porn video on Twitter on Tuesday, September 12 late night. Or at least it was his official account on the social media networking site that liked the sexually explicit content.

Cruz, being the same person who propagated a failed ban on sex toys and masturbation in April 2016. A Vanity Fair report claims that his legal team had drafted a 76-page brief administering his belief that there is no ‘due process right to stimulate one’s own genitals’ and hence, sex toys or ‘obscene devices’ as the draft called them should be banned in ‘public interest’.

The lawmaker, however, refuted the claims saying that several people from his office have access to the account and it was one of these aides who had liked the hardcore porn video showing porn star Cory Chase sneak into a couple having sex, a video that has since gone viral and has in a short span of time reached over a million views. Even the Twitter account that ran the pornographic clip in question has had thousands of new audiences join overnight. The @SexuallPosts account that ran the video has also now started promoting the video on its Twitter account with reference to Cruz.

Cruz still continues to maintain to the media that the Twitter gaffe was “a staffing issue” and “not a deliberate action.” He even made light of the incident and was quoted saying, “This is not how I envisioned waking up this morning. Although I will say that if I had known that this would trend so quickly, perhaps we should have posted something like this back during the Indiana primary.”

Meanwhile, the spokesperson and communication director for the senator has since reported the porn video tweet to Twitter authorities although the social media site does not forbid porn videos, nudity or sex.

Twitteratis, on the other hand, have been posting hilarious and exciting replies and reactions to Cruz’s tweet even as the tweet was first unliked and then deleted from his account after reportedly being there for an hour.

However, coming at a time when Americans just went through their remembrances of the September 11 attack and are still wading their ways through the twin hurricanes, this ‘video like’ could result in bad news for the Texan politician.
