Taylor Swift has won her lawsuit against former RJ David Mueller in a trial that has garnered massive public attention. Swift filed the $1 lawsuit against Mueller in a 2013 incident in which she alleged the accused groped her inappropriately during a meet-and-greet before a concert.

David Mueller had filed his own lawsuit in 2015 against Taylor Swift, her management and her mother, alleging that they made up the entire story, due to which his career was affected and he was fired from his job at KYGO radio station. A judge threw out his lawsuit against Swift, though the one against Swift’s mother and management is still pending.

After the winning of her case, Taylor Swift released a public statement, where she spoke about fighting for other women to are victims of sexual assault. In the statement, she said,

“I want to thank Judge William J Martinez and the jury for their careful consideration, my attorneys Doug Baldridge, Danielle Foley, Jay Schaudies and Katie Wright for fighting for me and anyone who feels silenced by a sexual assault, and especially anyone who offered their support throughout this four-year ordeal and two-year long trial process.”

“I acknowledge the privilege that I benefit from in life, in society and in my ability to shoulder the enormous cost of defending myself in a trial like this. My hope is to help those whose voices should also be heard. Therefore, I will be making donations in the near future to multiple organizations that help sexual assault victims defend themselves.”
