Yes! Pink is here with some new soulful music to enthrall us fans! Yesterday, the singer announced on social media that her upcoming album is set to be titled Beautiful Trauma and will release on October 13. Then, she teased a new single, What About Us from the album and officially dropped the lyric video on her Vevo YouTube channel. It is nothing short of beautiful.
The mother-of-two is excited about her latest release. She told fans, “I could not be more excited right now. My single come out today, What About Us and my new album Beautiful Trauma comes out October 13. I’m certifiably, insanely proud of this album. It’s been a while, and I’m grateful for all the years we’ve had. Looking forward to the next chapter with you.”
Pink had her last album, The Truth About Love released in 2012. The 37-year-old has since released a couple of singles, including Just Like Fire, the OST to Alice Through The Looking Glass and Waterfall with Sia and Stargate.
Pink has been busy mostly with motherhood, making only a limited number of public appearances. Her son, Jameson Moon Hart was born last year, a day after Christmas. She and motocross racer husband, Carey Hart also have a daughter together, Willow.
What About Us from Beautiful Trauma is a soulful ballad with political undertones. It seems to be directed at the current political situation plaguing the United States and the world. Pink has always been one to be vocal about her opinions, whether political, personal or social. The lyric video itself shows a number of people from different races and orientations all standing together with the singer.
