It’s been just eight days since the extremely tragic death of Linkin Park frontman, Chester Bennington. It feels like a lifetime, according to his fellow band member, Mike Shinoda. We agree. Though the world is mourning the passing away of the voice of a generation, what we were really waiting for was a statement from his widow, Talinda.
It’s finally here, and it’s as heartbreaking as you can imagine. The former Playboy model and Chester Bennington were married for eleven years, and the couple had three children during their married life. The widow finally spoke about her husband’s death, and let’s just say you need to bring the tissues, because you will not be able to handle the pain.
Talinda said, “One week ago, I lost my soul mate and my children lost their hero – their Daddy. We had a fairytale life and now it has turned into some sick Shakespearean tragedy. How do I move on? How do I pick up my shattered soul? The only answer I know is to raise our babies with every ounce of love I have left. I want to let my community and the fans worldwide know that we feel your love. We feel your loss as well. My babies are so young to have lost their daddy. And I know that all of you will keep his memory alive.”
She continued that the late 41 year old “was a bright, loving soul with an angel’s voice. And now he is pain-free singing his songs in all of our hearts. May God bless us all and help us turn to one another when we are in pain. Chester would’ve wanted us to do so. Rest in peace, my love.”
Chester Bennington and Talinda have six children together, three of which were from Chester’s previous relationships.
