Updated Trends: No Ball Incident With India Is Not The Worst: Mahela

Mahela Jayawardene, spoke to the media after a rain washed match with New Zealand, saying that the ‘No Ball’ incident with India is not the worst thing in international cricket, one has to move on in their career and focus on the upcoming matches.
India vs Sri Lanka

He said that whatever happened with the Indian team regarding the ‘No ball’ was an unfortunate event, but there are worse things that happen in international cricket and people move on in life. He said rather than looking back at what happened, Sri Lanka is looking ahead at the next game with India.

Jayawardene remained not out on 59, and Sri Lanka were 203/3 at 43.4 overs into the game,as the Sri Lankan rains washed out the game. The rains were too heavy and the game had to be called off. Sri Lanka has been in the lime light of controversy since Randhiv bowled a deliberate no ball to Sehwag during the winning moments of the match, where he could have scored a century, but the no ball did not let him do so.
