Updated Trends: Flood Ravaged Pakistan Finally Accepts Indian Aid Fund

Pakistan has finally shown some sensibility after accepting the Indian aid offer of $5 million. The Pakistani government said that such offers can be accepted. Pakistan’s Foreign Minister, Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that the Pakistan has finally decided to accept the Indian offer.

The United States has said that Pakistan has accepted the offer kept by India to provide aid for the flood victims and there is no political involvement in this. The Foreign Minister himself stated that, Pakistan is playing no political game in this offer presented by India. He made the statements clear from his side saying the Indian External Affairs Minister, S.M.Krishna had called Mr. Qureshi and expressed his sympathy towards the death of the people, and then kept forward the proposition of the aid.

Mr. Qureshi has thanked Mr. S.M. Krishna and Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh, for showing a positive gesture from the Indian side. Pakistan has been ravaged with the ongoing floods and almost 20 million people have been affected because of the flooding. Help and relief funds are arriving from all over the world to help the people affected by the flood.
